Striped Slab

Churro Wool, merino wool. Wooden Hanger. 18” x 40”

This piece was my first experiment in seeing how “hard” I can make my felt because I want to create large felted vessels. I couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out, it exceeded all my expectations. I was so in love with it, I was afraid to experiment with it, so right now, it’s a wall hanging.

My next step is to take the preciousness out of the project buy making smaller striped pieces using lighter weight wools in my stash, so I can master the striping and experiment with combining them into shapes before I move forward with my other fancy churro batts of wool.
