Installations
I always love it when I get a chance to do an installation. Here are three short videos of installations—two in Taos, New Mexico and one in New York and nationwide.
Light a Candle for Democracy
I love when I get a chance to do an installation. This super short is an overview of my installation and Live Event in late 2020 called Light a Candle for Democracy at the Revolt Gallery in Taos NM.
Light a Candle for Democracy involved over 700 people who all lit candles the night before the election in 2020 as I lit candles inside this gorgeous little casita gallery and spoke about secular values. The gallery was also open throughout the week for people to come light a candle.
Vote Poster Campaign 2018
In 2018, I designed a vote poster based on an artwork called “Old Glory.” On social media, my sister and I offered to mail ten posters for free to anyone who promised to hang them up. All they had to do was send me a photo of where they hung them. Hundreds of people in 24 states hung posters and texted me images—many of them were friends of friends of friends. It was a great feeling.
Wheel of Fortune
This installation was part of a tri-city juried installation series across New Mexico during Covid. I worked with friend and fellow artist Tawni Shuler to create this installation project and it was a wonderful collaboration.
We documented our 6 week experience of creating this installation. This short video is the last in the series. You can see the rest on my youtube channel:
